Post Natal Pilates

Are you a new mum?  As a new mum it is often difficult trying to find time to do anything nevermind exercise!  It can also be very isolating especially for first-time mums with a new baby.  At In the Log Cabin we have special Post Natal Pilates classes where you can come along for a class and bring your baby with you.  No more trying to find child care!  Not only will you enjoy all the benefits of Pilates but you will also be able to meet other new mums and babies in the area.

Mums can join us 8 weeks after a natural birth and 12 weeks after a c section.  Please remember to check with your doctor or midwife first.

Whilst you exercise, your baby can be next to you on the mat or in their car seat/carry cot or whatever suits you both.  If you need to feed your baby during the class, that is no problem.

Our Post Natal Pilates classes are gentle and kind on the body.  They focus on all over body strengthening, breathing, relaxation and the all important core work to get your pre-baby tummy back!  Pilates brings awareness to your body, posture and breathing which will help to reduce any aches and pains which may be the result of pregnancy.

The classes have up to three mums and babies which ensures everyone will get lots of teacher attention.  You will be able to learn the techniques at your own pace as the quality of the exercise is more important than quantity.  So whether you come along to make new friends, just get out and about or to get back in shape, these classes are a great way to start!
